LaBrena RentPractitioner Certified Clinical Massage Therapist

Founder, inventor, designer, and thermotherapy pioneer. At 30, LaBrena built SteamAssage from a single idea. A proud 2003 College Graduate of Chicago National College of Naprapathy. LaBrena successfully completed her clinical studies at Rush University Medical Center under Doctor Robert Beck, MD. Additionally, she completed her Apprenticeship Studies with Naprapath Doctor, Wyman Hall-Walker, Co-Inventor of Diversified Hot Stone Massage as a Certified Diversified Hot Stone Massage Therapist at Lincoln Park School of Massage and Spa in Chicago, IL. in 2003.

The Story

A thermotherapy pioneer

Every SteamAssage method, product, and credential traces back to one inventor's conviction: that hands-on, holistic, women-first wellness should also be a path to ownership and income. LaBrena designed the equipment, wrote the curriculum, authored the book, and created Misty — the guide who walks every trainee through the journey.

Inventions & Featured Designs

What LaBrena built

From the Spa Pod to the protocols to the school itself — a portfolio of original equipment, product, and methodology designs.

The SteamAssage System+ Spa Pod & Generator

The flagship invention — a portable, commercial-grade HyperThermic steam pod with its generator, as one complete system. Engineered for home and business: lightweight, ADA-considered, easy to sanitize, and simple to transport.

The SteamAssage System+ Mini Spa Pod & Generator

Invented in 2007 — a complete pod-and-generator system designed so clients never need to disrobe. Stay fully clothed during a session. Helps flatten abs and eliminate constipation issues naturally.

The SteamAssage Icy Spa Body Wrap

Invented in 2025 for Contrast Therapy — designed to work with both the System+ and System+ Mini for the signature hot-and-cold experience.

The Contrast Therapy Method

A signature protocol pairing hot HyperThermic steam with chilled iced salt blocks and cool towels in five named cycles — LaBrena's rhythmic hot-and-cold system.

The Herbal Spray Body Wrap

The signature Spray-On Herbal, Detoxifying Body Wrap — no physical wrapping needed. Spray on, rub in, and step into the Spa Pod. A proprietary concentrate used across Immune Detox sessions.

The Salt-Block & Dry-Brush Protocols

A complete product-and-procedure system for detox and skin-repair sessions, formulated to complement the Spa Pod experience.

The CHT Methodology & Curriculum

The reproducible ten-module Certified HyperThermic Technician training system — the intellectual framework that turns the invention into a teachable, ownable profession.

The Book — Steaming For A WeightLoss Cure

Secrets to Health & Easy WeightLoss Methods — the foundational text that documents the method and introduces the public to HyperThermic therapy.

The original SteamAssage storefront, its window painted with the Holistic Therapy Methods sign and a lit Open sign in the doorway.
